ASA2019 Brisbane Workshop FAQs

When can I register for workshops?
Workshop registrations are now open and access will be provided upon registration for the Conference. Once your registration has been processed (within 3 business days) a confirmation email will be sent to you which will contain a personalised link to the workshop registration form.

Am I guaranteed my preferred workshop(s)?
We have increased the number of workshops for ASA2019 Brisbane and will make every effort to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workshops and capacity to accommodate everybody’s preference. However, room capacities may mean that some delegates are unable to register for their preferred workshops.

Lecture sessions are programmed to run concurrently with workshops, for which no registration is required, so please check the program for alternative sessions to attend.

How many workshops can I register for?
The number of workshops you are able to pre-register for is dependent on your registration type:

Full Registration: Maximum of 6 workshops
One-Day Registration: Maximum of 2 workshops
Two-Day Registration: Maximum of 4 workshops

Do these limits apply to all workshops in the program?
No, although part of the workshop program, the Clinical Supervisors and Student workshops on Friday do not need to be registered for as part of the above allocations and will not be available for pre-registration.

How will you know that I am pre-registered?
Once you have registered for your workshops these will be saved against your record. Your Conference name badge will act as your ‘ticket’ and will be scanned upon entry.

Can I be added to a waitlist for a workshop that is full?
There are no waitlists for fully subscribed workshops. Delegates who wish to try to attend a full workshop may go there on the day and, if there is available space once the workshop has commenced, will be allowed access.

Can I just turn up to a workshop even if I haven't registered?
Yes, you may turn up to any workshop during the Conference regardless of whether you have pre-registered, however, priority will be given to delegates who are pre-registered until the session has begun. At that point, if there is space available, unregistered delegates will be allowed access.

What if I am late for a workshop?
Due to the high demand for a number of workshops we are unable to hold seats for pre-registered delegates once the workshop has commenced. We recommend arriving at the workshop venue at least 5 minutes prior to the start time to avoid your spot being reallocated. In instances when workshops are running back-to-back, additional time will be factored in to allow for delegates transitioning from other rooms.

Can I change my workshop selections after I have selected them?
Yes, you can amend your workshop selections throughout the lead up to the Conference by utilising the same link you used to initially register. Proceed through the form making the necessary changes before re-submitting. At the venue, you may also visit the Registration and Information Desk to make any changes to your workshop selection.

What should I do if I can no longer attend a workshop?
Due to demand, if you know you are unable to attend a workshop we would appreciate it if you could advise us at so that we can make your space available to other delegates.
