Erika Cavanagh

Erika Cavanagh is a sonographer at the Centre for Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital.
Erika completed a Graduate Diploma in Ultrasound in 2003. She was the Section Chief in Ultrasound at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney for 9 years. She has since moved to Queensland, and has completed a Master of Medical Sonography, with a focus on fetal echocardiography. She used her final advanced skills project to develop a fetal echocardiography training program for sonographers and MFM fellows.
She is also now involved in a research project working towards a PhD, studying placental elastographic changes in fetal growth restriction.

Erika is also a Director on the ASA Board, and an Associate Fellow of the ASA.
